Description

An original 1970 copy of Zep II on the UK Atlantic label. Matrix A5/B4. Please note labels are consistent with a pressing from summer 1970. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original E J Day cover with semi-dark-brown colouring - correct for this period. We also have the original plastic bag warning inner sleeve date coded to "08/70". So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a few light marks either side - nothing heavy or nasty looking. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback with two deviations. Intros and inbetweens are really nice and quiet and the audio comes across with superb clarity. By and large a very clean player. Even in those slow-build or acoustic moments very nice clear audio. And this is precisely what makes for a top-level rendition of Zep II. Expect a few crackles in a couple of isolated spots per side. And then the one deviation is during "Whole Lotta Love". I can make out two isolated clicks - possibly jumps. I'm not sure there's any actual audio missing - they are extremely brief and easy to miss. One sounds like the band just play a bum note. In the opening intro to RAMBLE I also picked up a couple of low-level ticks. Providing you can live with this the rest of the LP is guaranteed to knock-you-out. 
Cover (Vg+) Zep II covers are a real pain to find well preserved, but this example acquits itself admirably. A lovely front which has not been abused or exhibiting wear - just a touch of ageing across at the spine edge. The rear looks well above average too with only some light handling wear as is almost obligatory on this title. The interior is superb - no issues at all. Edge wear is relatively light and the openings are still sharp. That spine is looking very nice with just light ageing. Most suffer compression and heavy wear, but this example is intact and showing only minor wear. All text pretty much legible. Overall the cover still retains excellent rigidity. Very nice indeed!
Inner (Ex-) A one inch edge split. Otherwise - aok.
