A 1st issue of Meddle on UK Harvest from 1971. Matrix A4/B3. Stampers 1-GG/2-GP. Please note the perimeter text around the label mentions 'Gramophone' and this is indicative of 1st issue. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original textured gatefold sleeve.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In absolutely superb shape and has clearly only seen the very light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of ultra light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Most folk should recognise the difficulty in finding a copy of Meddle that plays well - it is a very fussy record and many will just not play cleanly. This copy, however, is a solid early copy and is very well preserved in deed - I don't think I've ever heard better. Intros and inbetweens are very quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Interference is minimal - nothing more than a touch of the lightest static in one or two sections [literally]. As a result the complex movements and mood swings on this LP are allowed to flow unencumbered. A really very nice player...
Cover (Ex-) In great condition and has clearly been cared for. There's a bit of light handling wear - just a very light touch of ageing. But nothing remotely that stands out. Overall the cover retains very good rigidity and the text on the spine is still intact.
