Description

An original 1st issue of Meddle on the UK Harvest label. Matrix 4/3. Stampers 1-OP/2-RP. Please note the perimeter text on the labels still mentions "Gramophone" on the labels - this is indicative of 1st issue. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in a gatefold cover which is textured on the outside. Also included is the original generic white 'made in England' inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) In great condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I could make out nothing more than a couple of light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback with two deviations. Intros and inbetweens are really nice and quiet and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Very nice and clean audio for the most part. Interference is both minor and infrequent. The only vaguely noticeable interference was as in the intro to side 2..just a few low-level crackles - i.e. not all that much. The two deviations are two ticks in Fearless and then two isolated clicks during 'One Of These Days'. Not perfectly clean, but in reality getting quite close and should be more than sufficient for all but the very fussiest of hifi gurus.
Cover (Ex-) In very nice condition and has clearly been looked after down the years. A very nice and clean back and front with none of that heavy creasing or surface wear you tend to find. The interior looks good just a couple of grubby smudges and a couple of foxing spots close to the spine. Edge wear is light and the openings still sharpish. The spine looks pretty good with all text more or less legible.Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing. No splits.
