Description

An original 1st issue of Meddle on the UK Harvest label. Matrix B1U/A3. Please note the perimeter text on the labels still mentions "Gramophone" on the labels - this is indicative of 1st issue. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in a gatefold cover which is textured on the outside. Also included is the original generic white 'made in England' inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In great condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I could make out nothing more than a couple of light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback with one slight deviation. Intros and inbetweens are really nice and quiet and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Very nice and clean audio for the most part. Interference is both minor and infrequent. Expect a few low-level crackles in a couple of isolated moments per side. Nothing vaguely invasive or persistent - only just about audible.By and large an impressively clean performance and you really need that with Meddle. The one deviation is a momentary 1 second burst of interference/distortion during track 1 on side 1. Literally, over in a flash...and a small price to pay for what otherwise is a terrific rendition of this Floyd classic.
Cover (Ex-) In very nice condition and has clearly been looked after down the years. A very nice and clean back and front with barely any of that heavy creasing or surface wear you tend to find. The interior looks good and has tanned just slightly - there's a tippex removal of a name in the top right corner [hard to make out]. Edge wear is light and the openings still sharpish. The spine looks pretty good with all text more or less legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex) Minimal ageing. No splits.
