Description

An original 1st issue of Meddle on the UK Harvest label. Matrix 4/3. Stampers 1-AG/2-AO. Please note the labels still exhibit "Gramophone" in the perimeter text - which guarantees 1st issue. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original textured [outside] Garrod & Lofthouse cover. Also included is the original Harvest inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete. Will come housed in an anti-static inner for maximum protection.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) A beautiful copy that has only seen light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of light marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback with a couple of slight deviations. You always know you're onto something when you hear the sound of the 'wind' and precious little else - by definition you have a low-mileage copy. Beautifully rendered audio which delivers this FLOYD classic with aplomb. Interference is borderline non-existent. Expect a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated spots per side. The only deviations are a couple of light ticks in the closing seconds of track 2 [i.e. the outro.. as it fades]. And a couple of light ticks in the opening section of 'Echoes'. A really sweet player...most definitely a keeper.
Cover (Ex-) Nice and clean front and rear with only very lightest handling evident and no signs of creasing at all. The interior looks great too - no issues from what I can make out. There's just a bit of wear on the spine nothing excessive. The text is just about all legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity and remains a very fine example.
Inner (Vg+) A bit of creasing. No splits though. Inner bag is missing.
