Description

An original 1st press of Meddle on UK Harvest. Matrix A1U/B1U - the 1st cut. Stampers 1-MG/1-RH. "Gramophone" in the perimeter label text. The vinyl comes housed in an original outer textured cover [only outer]. We also have the original 'plastic bag warning' inner date coded to summer 1970 [0770]. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Vg+) A well preserved original copy which has only seen relatively light use. A couple of very slight marks per side, and one small mark right at the outset of side 1 which does sound [see detail]. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with two deviations. Intros and inbetweens are beautifully quiet and the audio comes across with superb clarity. This is incredibly difficult to find with a lot of the Floyd Lps. There is, however, one issue that you would need to be able to compromise on. The mark mentioned above does cause a number of clicks over the swirling wind at the start of side 1. It still clicks as the bass notes come in. Then, as the volume starts to build on that bass line - it clears out totally. On side 2 there's some light static audible in 1st minute or two of 'Echoes'. Nothing bad and it's difficult to find any copy playing this passage perfectly clean. Providing you can live with these early initial issues each side the rest of the Lp is a total blast.
Cover (Ex-) In lovely condition with less surface wear than is typical of the original copies. Front and rear are really nice and flat with just minor handling signs. The interior looks great with just lightest ageing as is almost impossible to avoid. There's a bit of light edge wear in places - but nothing that noticeable. The openings are still sharpish and nice and firm. A bit of lightest wear on the spine - which is very difficult to avoid. But all text still legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
