Description
A early pressing of the the Beatles first stereo l.p
This copy probably dates from June 1963 what makes this copy interesting is the fact that it has the best stereo gold sleeve I have ever seen.most of the sleeves have flip back damage ( no flip back damage on this copy) .due to the construction of these rare cover as E.J Day the manufacture of the first two sleeves for this l.P used laminated paper for the cover this making the cover very delicate and prone to damage, unlike the Garrod and Lofthouse sleeves which are cardboard and a lot more durable.i am doubtful that a better gold stereo sleeve would become available any time soon.
Condition of vinyl
Very nice I would grade VG+ really nice audio plays great no issues
Condition of sleeve
Excellent if you’ve got a nice stereo gold and the usual condition sleeve issues this will really enhance the overall look and the value if I’m being super critical about condition of this rare sleeve is that it has a crease on the opening edge see photo and slight chipping on the open edge see photos.
In conclusion a very early early copy with an incredibly rare sleeve in outstanding condition.
