Description
PMC1202 An original 4th pressing from 1963 on the UK Parlophone lable. Matrix -1N/-1N. Stampers 4-GOG 13-GMG. Tax code - MT. Weight - 160grams. The label does not mention the 'Sold In Uk...' blurb and this identifies it is a 4th pressing. It comes housed in its original Ernest J. Day cover.
Vinyl (Ex) Has been played sparingly - very few vintage records turn up in this condition. The surface remains nice and shiny and has clearly been well cared for. A close visual inspection reveals nothing more than a couple of light marks [one of these does sound]. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are really quite and there's barely a hint of interference. The only exception to this is in 'love me do' where a mark does cause a few light clicks - whilst audible they are not intrusive. It is also worth mentioning the actual sound quality of these tracks. There's not a hint of groove wear and the audio has great clarity and punch to it.
Cover (Ex-) The front cover remains nice and shiny with one or two light creases. The rear, whilst not completely free from ageing, has stood the test of time and remains a good shade of white. The spine is totally intact. There's a 1c.m. split to the bottom opening edge. It's not always obvious from photos , but this cover has maintained is rigidity too. Overall - a really nice example.
