The Beatles Please Please Me LP UK 4th Mono Press {Summer 1963} [Ex/Vg+]

	£		45
	$		60

Description

An original 4th mono press on the UK Parlophone label from summer 1963. Matrix 1N/1N. Please note labels are consistent with 4th press and exhibit 'Parlophone' in the perimeter text, and 'recording 1st pub.' The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original Ernest J Day cover.
Vinyl (Ex) In great condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection there are a few light marks  - nothing heavy or sinister.  A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are very nice and quiet and the audio comes across with superb clarity. By and large a very nice and clean player with little to find fault with. Expect a few crackles in a couple of isolated moments per side. Overall a very respectable copy and one you can thoroughly enjoy from start to finish.
Cover (Ex-) In great shape and looking a lot better than many of the original summer '63 copies that have survived. A very nice clean and shiny front cover with only a couple of stress creases around the edge. The rear has escaped much of the ageing that often afflicts these covers. All flipbacks are secure and with just a touch of wear in a couple of spots. Please note there's a signature written neatly in the top right corner. Edge wear is mostly light with just a couple of corner knocks. The spine looks very tidy and is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity and remains an impressive example.
Emitex (Vg)  A bit aged and the die-cut central hole has a bit of tearing one one side [secured with tape].
