Description

An original 4th press of PPM on the UK Parlophone label from 1963. Please note the label does not hold the 'Sold In The UK..' statement - and is therefore indicative of 4th press. Matrix 1N/1N. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Ernest J Day cover.
Vinyl (Ex+) In super condition and has clearly only seen light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Interference is minimal. All we detected was a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments [literally]. These early heavy set mono copies do really belt out some quality audio. But you need a well preseerved one to do it justice. This is a blindingly good player as even the quiet tracks play clean.
Cover (Ex) In great shape and has clearly been looked after down the years. These covers are often difficult to find in top condition, but this example if particularly rude health! Lovely shiny front without significant creasing. The rear is always the problems area..but not here! Lovely and white almost exhibiting no ageing - just one or two creases on that top edge. Flipbacks are all present and intact. Edge wear is unusually light and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
