Description

An original TRACK UK press from 1973 - just 2 years from 1st release. Matrix 4/4. Etching "Bilbo". The vinyl comes housed in a 2nd issue DELUXE C&B cover. It will come housed in a white poly-lined inner sleeve for maximum protection. If you're someone who really rates this album and wants perfect audio...read on.. it could be worth your while..>>>
Vinyl (Ex+) In beautiful condition and has only seen very light use. Under close inspection I'm struggling to make out more than a couple of superficial marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. A beautifully clean player which, in reality, is not that far from those original masters. And you can hear it in the audio! If you like your Lps to play real clean then do seriously consider this one. The ARP Synthesizer notes at the start of 'Baba' is difficult to find playing clean on nearly all copies, as are the piano notes that kick off 'Getting In Tune' - but this example delivers them superbly. I could detect precious little background at all - all the way through - perhaps just a couple of minor crackles in that intro to 'Getting In Tune' and the synth outro to 'Won't Get Fooled'. But these tracks play back far better than you usually tend to find. This example delivers superb power and authority. Final Upgrade.
Cover (Ex+) A total pain to find the original copies in great condition due to the absence of lamination. But this early example is nothing short of astonishing. Beautifully clean and flat front without wear or ageing I mean it's practically perfect. The back is the usual area which lets the side down...but, again, this example is perfectly preserved - deep lush blacks. Hardly any wear at all. The only observable wear is the two inches along the edge from the bottom right corner [minimal]. The openings are still sharp. The spine is 100% intact - utterly perfect .. Totally square and zero signs of wear. The cover still retains excellent rigidity. FINAL UPGRADE.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing, but no splits.
