Description

An original 1st press of WN on the UK Track label. Matrix 2/1 - 1st cut. Etching "MG12888" - this signifies 1st pressing. But also make sure you're buying a flat [non-ridged] label - that is matt [not shiny]. If you can tick all those boxes - you have a 1st. Worth going for the 1st copies - they were pressed heavy and sound absolutely fabulous. The vinyl comes housed in an original thick-card MacNeill cover with pinched spine. We also have an original 'plastic bag warning' inner sleeve date coded to '05/71' [Early Summer 1971]. So, we're 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Vg+) In great condition and has only seen relatively light use. There are a few light marks per side, but nothing heavy or troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with a couple of deviations. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Perhaps, just a few crackles in one brief moment per side. There's a couple of ticks in 'Love Ain't 4 Keepin'. A few crackles in the intro to Baba, also, but this is difficult to find playing clean. Plays really clean into most of the quieter moments. Barring those couple of issues a cracking 1st copy - lovin' it!
Cover (Vg+) In very decent condition with nothing more than light handling observable on the front. The rear usually looks awful - but this example only exhibits very slight handling. There's a bit of edge wear in places - nothing unsightly. The spine is in excellent order but a couple of spots of wear over the album title render it semi-legible. Overall it looks really nice for the vintage and the cover retains very good rigidity.
Inner (Ex-) Light ageing visible. Bag still present. No splits.
