Description

An original 1st STEREO press of OLDIES on the UK Parlophone label from 1966. Matrix 1G/1G - 1st cut. Stampers 1M/2GG. Note that publishing details are present on the left side of the label - which infers 1st issue. The vinyl comes housed in an original Mono G&L cover. We also have an original patents applied for inner sleeve too. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) In lovely condition and has only seen lightest use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of very lightest marks per side - nothing remotely troubelsome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Yesterday and Michelle - are the TEST tracks. Nearly all copies - even the good looking ones... play these with a touch of background. And this example is playing them very clean - which is unusual. Yellow Submarine & Rigby play real sweet. All I could make out was a few crackles in one isolated spot per side. Highly recommended.
Cover (Vg+) Very well preserved with a nice flat front - and barely a crease. The rear seems to have escaped the worst of the ageing process just a bit observable in places. Edge wear is pretty limited and the spine is 100% intact with a touch of ageing. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg) A bit aged. But NO splits.
